ആശാന്‍ a.k.a കഴുതക്കിറി

Suzuki Gixxer number plate lamp modified ; Applicable for all city bikes

Hello all, as promised I have made a slight light modification on the number plate lamp of my Gixxer. And yeah, this gives a premium motorcycle look on my Gixxer.

I replaced the stock yellowish number plate lamp with a white SMD LED lamp. This modification is so cheap such that it cost me only 50 bucks. The replacement is a much easy DIY job.

Here is how it looks like before and after. The blueish white color gives a premium looks for the bike when looking from behind.  Below are some links from where you can purchase the lights online.

Both are good. I used the later.

The process is same for all the city bikes such as pulsar,FZ,Hornet, etc. I have created a quick video on how I did it in 2 minutes. Do watch and let me know your thoughts. :)

Suzuki Gixxer pilot lamp modification; Applicable to almost all the city bikes

I did some small light modifications on my Suzuki Gixxer 155.

I replaced the stock yellowish pilot lamp with a white SMD LED lamp. This modification is so cheap such that it cost me only 50 bucks. The replacement is a much easy DIY job.

Here is how it looks like before and after:

I have chosen white color because I didn't make any modification on my headlamp. If you are planning to change the headlamp to a projector light with nice beautiful rings around it, then I prefer red or blue colors for pilot lamp. Below are some links from where you can purchase the lights online.

White: http://amzn.to/2pxb7oV or http://amzn.to/2oJfdcv.  Both are good. I used the later.

The process is same for all the city bikes such as pulsar,FZ,Hornet, etc. I have created a quick video on how I did it in 2 minutes. Do watch and let me know your thoughts. :)

Announcement: Travel blog posts in Malayalam

From now onward travel blog posts will be written in Malayalam considering the below two facts:
  • I am not so good at English, especially when it calls for poetical words.
  • The audience: 99% of the audience to my blog are from Kerala. It is easy to communicate things in native language.
Though, I would keep writing in English for all the DIY  posts. Also, I will try to write an English version of Travel blog posts if I trip to popular places.

Keep visiting :) Thank you!

Quick intro of Voyager's camera arsenal : SJCAM SJ5000x elite and Canon 1200D

I use to dream, it would have been so glad if someone would have asked me 'Hey Voyager, your blog and channel looks cool, what all camera gears do you use to make these kinda spectacular stuff?'. But yeah, right now I am getting around 50 views for my YouTube videos and blog posts on an average which is, oh boy! A pokerface -_- :( So its like, no body is going to ask me about this.

Anyway I am posting this right away, thinking one day a Voyager would become as popular as AdjrianNickelodeon or say The Everyday India

I use two cameras viz Canon 1200D and SJCAM SJ5000x elite. Each one has its own use.

SJ5000x elite is an action camera coming from a chinese startup named SJCAM.  (Well, at least they were a startup when I bought this camera. Their android app and website proves it.) I mount it over my bike or on my helmet while travelling.

This one can record upto 4k videos with an inbuilt gyro stabilizer to fix shaky videos. Though I don't record at 4k, mostly 1080p would suffice me. Few things that I love about this cam are as

Exploring the unexplored : Modakkuzhi mala

Hey fellow voyagers,

Today I am going to start writing about the places which I believe is falling under the category of unexplored places. I am planning to write this like a series covering one place in a post tagged under Exploring the unexplored.

Let me try to briefly describe the word unexplored in this context with these bullet points.
  • Places that are not known to everyone (may be private assets of the locals 😛 )
  • Places that aren't dumped with wastes
  • Places that are free from crowd
I always fond of such places due to several reasons. I consider myself as an introvert. I love spending time alone; I walk, sit or lay and make random thoughts which never reaches anywhere. Though it gives

Visit to Sargaalaya arts & crafts village – Iringal

From Wikipedia: The famous son of Iringal, Kunjali Marakkar, went on to become the trusted admiral and commanded the Zamorin’s fleet and thwarted the efforts of Portuguese vessels trying their best to make a landing on the Kerala coast. The birthplace of this valiant admiral of the Zamorin is situated on the southern bank of the Mooradi River. Today, Keralites remember his valour and selfless service rendered for his motherland with lot of reverence.

Iringal Craft Village managed by tourism department of Kerala is one of the major tourist attractions in Iringal. Sargaalaya organizes the event each year, mostly staring from
